Students will learn using the Arduino Uno microcontroller. This teaches them coding, electronics, program logic, and opens them to learn in a hands-on environment with a colorful end product. We will use the Arduino to create image display panels. The students learn how to use tools as well as troubleshooting and real-world problem-solving. The Led strips also add a safety factor to the classroom as we will integrate coding for students to use the lights as a communication device in the shop class. When the lights go yellow students know it is time to clean up. If the lights go red the students know to stop immediately. Which is a great queue in a noisy classroom.
