As of right now, my students have no idea how fun and exciting science can really be. That's where microscopes come in. Microscopes will allow my students to explore the world of cells in our Life Science unit. None of my students have ever looked in a microscope, let alone at a slide with an animal or plant cell. In our rural school district, things like microscopes come few and far between. My students should have the opportunity to unlock their potential just like any other student in any other school.
These microscopes would help unlock an exciting realm of science that my students didn't know existed! Education should be creative and science allows creativity. My students enjoy looking at pictures of different microscope slides on Google. But if they had the chance to physically look at a slide, I know this would ignite a fire in them to want to learn and explore more. Nothing makes my teacher heart happier than students who not only enjoy learning in our classroom, but wanting to learn more!
