The balance boards give my students an opportunity to get up and move with out being a distraction to other students. They can take a "brain break" while focusing their mind and energy on something physically. Then they will come back to the table more focused and ready to learn. The iPad is an opportunity for me to run more hands on programs for my students through the smart board and give me freedom to move around the room. The iPad doesn't have to be directly connected to the smart board, so I have the freedom to run out without being caged to my desk. I have also heard there are many programs that can be ran through it that will get students up and moving as well.
