My students who have low vision and are young or have additional cognitive disabilities need to learn how to use their residual vision. This means learning things such as tracking items with their impaired vision and hand eye coordination. We are requesting laminating sheets, marble run and HP Printer Ink!
The activities need to be motivating and exciting to gain their visual attention, these items will help with their goals! The marble run activity is unique in that the tubes are translucent and the marbles glow! It will work on their hand and eye coordination as we put it together and then the chance to watch the marble as it twists and turns down the ramp.
During this unstable time due to COVID-19, I need to come up with unique activities I can send home to students via mail. This means for some of them printed items with large font and accessible pictures (e.g. sorting activities). The HP ink will help continue my ability to create these activities.
