By donating to our project you will help educate our students on how to handle the choices they will make in their lives everyday. From knowing how to handle their own attitudes and peer pressure, to other emotions such as dealing with the loss of a loved one, being bullied, the deployment of a parent, or sadly for some, the distance of a parent due to incarceration. The colorful pictures shown in the books will capture the attention of each student and the hearts of those in similar situations. Letting each of them know there isn't a situation out there, someone hasn't already been through, and they are never alone in their feelings because it's normal, and a part of growing up. With each story will be an activity which will require the students to be sit, stand or wiggle around in different areas based on the activity. Blue, Green, Purple, whatever the color may be, the large rug will allow for seated structure and colorful fun in a room where stories, learning, sharing, laughing, and yes sometimes tears (as this is a counselors office) will be shared throughout years to come. Through it all your donation will help our children grow and learn how to communicate through their emotions.
