I have been privledge to teach in a very unique school where we are not labeled as either "elementary" or "middle" school. While my school only has two grade levels, we serve over 700 students.
My team consists of about 70 sixth graders. I also advise an additional 40 students in our after school yearbook program.
In my classroom, we practice our English skills following the NC state standards. We also serve a large population of Multilingual Learners, some of which are considered "newcomers" to the English language. It is my goal to supply engaging texts for all students and provide enriching projects for the students to apply their newfound knowledge, focusing primarily on using new types of technology to create their masterpieces.
