I believe students at this age learn best when they have the materials in their hands. When they can move and manipulate objects, it gives them a better understanding of the concept they are tasked to learn.
I will use the materials in this project to give my students a more hands-on learning experience that will foster their independence and love for various concepts. Throughout the day, the students will use these materials in small groups, with partners and independently, to help them understand multiple math and language skills. I believe these materials are very beneficial for the students to help their academic growth and I look forward to seeing that happen once my project is funded.
