My students are part of a Title-1 public school that is gearing up to get it's STEAM certification. We try to integrate these components into the everyday lives of our students. A maker space available for my students would go a long way to giving them the accessibility and freedom to create, engineer, design, and apply what they are learning to solve community problems that they may not otherwise have. First graders have such amazing imaginations and creativity, and it would be incredible to give them a space to explore those ideas and make them come to life!
