I am requesting healthy snacks, such as 100% Fruit Juices, bottled water, Welch's Fruit Snacks, individual cookie snacks. In order for children to have the opportunity to learn and grow in the classroom they need to be provided healthy food choices.
I am requesting healthy foods for my students in order to help meet this imperative need. I will be sending these items home with my students during long breaks or school cancellations due to COVID. These items will include fruit snacks, fruit drinks, and other essential food items that are easy for them to access.
The majority of my students often ask when our lunch time and snack will be. This is a red flag to me that they may not be getting what they need to eat at home.
As their teacher I am here to try to ensure the health and wellness of my students. Please help me make sure that my students don't go hungry and that their needs are met. At their young age and during such an unusually tough time, they shouldn't have to worry about getting enough food to eat and with your donations this worry could be diminished.
