My students are diverse and eccentric. I would describe my school as a place where the adults are visible and care, but external factors in the community and cultural perceptions greatly impact the way my students feel about themselves.
They want to be successful, but they don't know the steps on how to get there. They want to be successful, but do not BELIEVE that they are going to be successful. I want them to believe and know that they are worthy of an education and are worthy of being heard.
