Reading and writing are the foundational skills every kindergartener must learn to be successful in their educational career. iPads are educational tools that will provide my students with opportunities to practice letter formation and identification. There are also many apps that will extend their learning in math, science, and social studies.
iPads will help my students meet their goals in becoming independent readers and writers. Students who use iPads to help learn are often more engaged and interested in what they are learning. iPads make learning fun and safe for students who struggle or have anxieties about school. I plan on using iPads during our reading workshop centers to practice letters and listen to books. I also plan on using iPads during science to use interactive science apps, during math to practice number skills, and during social studies to read books about topics we are interested in.
