The project materials were chosen after carefully considering what I believe are the essentials to becoming immersed in a good book—comfortable chairs, throw pillows, a rug, and some fairy lights for added ambience. I believe through creating a comfortable, inviting space for my students to engage and learn through literacy, they will relate and apply that feeling of comfort and positivity to their own literacy lives. Additionally, the educational materials such as the whiteboards and chalkboard will allow students to share their new-found knowledge with their classmates and participate in interactive book talks.
