The products I have selected will allow my students to make a choice of where they want to sit during independent work time. Right now my students often sit at their own desk or on the floor using clipboards. Allowing my students to have comfy, cute chairs to choose from to do their work will engage them and motivate them to do their best.
Flexible seating gives students the opportunity to make choices that work best for them and therefore allow them to take charge of their own learning.
The rug will be a cozy place for us to learn and grow together throughout the year as we dive into various texts and exciting whole group lessons. Currently the rug we have is stained, has curled edges (a tripping hazard!) and has been in my classroom for many years. I would love to give my students a fresh atmosphere where they can strive, especially after being home for five months due to the Pandemic.
