My 3rd grade students will use the table and flexible seating daily in their differentiated writing instruction. Having this table allows each student to be actively engaged with the writing instruction because they will all be able to see exactly what I am doing without having to lean across a regular table. Instead of sitting in the same old boring classroom chair the flexible seating allows them to have a different choice. With a third of the students from low-income households this is another way to provide an engaging work area.
