Flexible seating allows students the opportunity to take control of their learning environment and make choices that work best for them. During work time, the students are free to find a setting or space in the room that works best for them. Currently, my classroom has a variety of different options for each student such as a couch, picnic benches, bean bags, and under tables with clipboards. Some students work better at tables but require different seating options other than a normal chair.
My students are more engaged, less disruptive, and more successful when they are given a choice of where to work.
The products I have chosen for my students will continue to give them more seating options and success for learning.
