Math Manipulatives make learning math interesting and enjoyable. With these materials, I can give students the choice of working on a page of problems or solving a problem with colorful and interestingly shaped blocks. Manipulatives intrigue and motivate while helping students learn. The use of manipulatives helps students hone their mathematical thinking skills. The effective use of manipulatives can help students connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so that they gain a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. With the ultimate goal being student achievement and engagement, my students will be able to practice the skills they need to be able to work on grade-level and beyond.
