Many of our special needs students are wheelchair bound and rarely get the opportunity outside of school to enjoy outdoor activities. A side-by-side tricycle will give our students this opportunity. This tricycle will allow our students to sit next to us while we pedal and steer, and get a feel for what it’s like to ride a bicycle. Our students are given the opportunity to ride on these trikes for only a couple weeks out of the entire school year, as they do not belong to our school. Their faces light up every time they have the chance to ride. By receiving our own trike, we will be able to give our students that excitement all year long.
