My students come to me without much experience in being organized. Some come without any supplies. My wish is to see that they succeed and that something simple like not having a bookbag or simple supplies won't be able to hold them back. I want to be able to help them form lifelong skills of being organized and prepared.
In order to be college, career, and citizenship ready, students should be able to come to class, work, and events prepared and up to date on what they need to do without having their socioeconomic status holding them back. High schoolers need to be able to start their journey towards adult life with as much help as possible (examples and mentors) in order for them to truly grow.
