Throughout this past year, my students have spent a majority of that time at home. The number of books and variety of texts varies by household. Many students have had to use online programs to find texts to read because the public library was closed.
By supporting this program, you will be fostering their minds into building lifelong readers. They will have ownership of their books, their reading and their education.
Students will use these books to increase their reading ability over the summer. They will use them to maintain connections with their classmates and the stories will help foster positive relationships when they return in the Fall.
