My students enjoy the thematic unit COMMUNITY HELPERS! Unfortunately, we don't have the funds to purchase community helper costumes, hats, or tools. These items would be great for students to participate in dramatic play activities. This will also help students build literacy, develop vocabulary, practice acting out, and performs tasks related to Community Helpers. Help us celebrate and show appreciation to the Community Helpers such as police officers, nurses, doctors, teachers, etc. Our school is located in the remote south area located in the Sonoran Desert. Our students are limited to resources and have to travel 50 miles to the nearest town.
