My intelligent, wonderful, and creative third-grade students have made me proud during this pandemic. They have learned so much about using remote learning! Our parents and the community have been so supportive, despite the challenges we are facing with remote learning. My students have persevered and showed incredible stamina as they learn new tools such as Google docs, Google Forms, and Jamboard. They are learning to organize their days and to submit assignments digitally. This year has been extremely difficult for them, not just academically but also emotionally. Yet they show up at our Google Meets and are eager to tackle the day's lesson and assignments!
Most of my students are using Chromebook devices borrowed from our school, and many struggle with using the mouse pad on the device; a mouse will help them navigate through their assignments. Many families also have multiple online classes going on at the same time, and therefore headphones would be so helpful for them to use during this time. These additional tools will help my students stay focused and determined to finish the school year strong!
