To inspire other students, especially girls, about the opportunities of expressing themselves creatively while designing solutions for the issues of their own concerns, students in our Engineering program wish to add the Art factor to the STEM projects.
The aspiring future scientists and engineers have researched and found a few art-centric yet buildable and programmable robot models and do-it-yourself kits.
Those includes:
1) FLORA Wearable Electronics Kit - It's an Adafruit platform with the Atmega32u4 chip which has built-in USB support. Designers and makers can just plug it in and make the wearables project of their dreams!
2) Unicornbot - UBTECH Mythical Series: Unicornbot Kit-App-Enabled Building & Coding Stem Learning Kit
3) NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Solar Space Explorers - DIY Moon Buggy and Mars Rover Model Kit, Each Powered by a Solar Panel, STEM projects for those who are interested in Outer Space and Engineering
4) JIMU ROBOT KITS: BUZZBOT & MUTTBOT
Buildable, codable 2 characters with 6 motors to perform the comprehensive moves and dance routines.
Through these projects, our students hope to be able to repair or rebuild the interactive Q&A boxes for display items at the local museums and zoos.
