A curriculum that is STEM based has real-life situations to help students learn. STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student. STEM jobs are the future of our economy! I am trying to get my second graders to become problem solvers and critical thinkers by creating a MAKER SPACE/STEM SPACE in my classroom this year. All of these STEM bins and materials will be put into this area for students to complete challenges, solve problems, and realize that learning CAN be fun and IS FUN! Making Math and Science both fun and interesting helps the students to do much more than just learn. Please help these 2nd graders change their minds and prepare for the future!
