More and more students come to me every year with trouble concentrating or being still. Not only is this a distraction from their learning, but it also distracts others around them. I want all of my students to feel successful no matter what!
Even though we are always up and moving, there are times when we need to be at tables, and sitting in regular chairs is hard for some kids. Not only do I want them to be able to get their wiggles out while sitting down, but I also want to keep them safe! Kids who desperately need that movement end up falling in regular chairs. Kindergartners NEED to be moving in order to be successful!
My students are noticeably more engaged and less disruptive when they have the CHOICE of a wobble stool. I want each of my students to be given the opportunity to use these seats! No more fighting over who gets to use it. I do not want to have to choose who needs it the most because in my eyes, all of their needs are important, no matter how big or small!
