As a teacher, I am always looking for real-life, hands on activities for my students to complete in our classroom. I want to teach them them to overcome problems they face, where the solution is not immediate. Many times my students don't want to continue to find solutions to problems if it takes them more than one try. By purchasing these products to use in our classroom, I will be able to provide them with resources that don't have one cut and dry answer. They will be able to use resources to manipulate various techniques to solve a problem. These materials would help my students to try, and try again while thinking like scientists and engineers! It would teach them that they can solve problems using creativity and trying multiple different solutions. I feel these materials aid in giving them an understanding of STEM we are not currently giving them access to. It would remind them that not all answers can be found instantaneously, and sometimes they have to try various solutions in order to get the best one! We will use these materials to problem solve, to invent, to write, to interact, to explain, to explore and so much more!
