This grant is for 10 lab kits that are part of the AP Biology curriculum. Each consists of a teacher-guided portion and a student-generated inquiry lab. The topics of these labs include; diffusion & osmosis, enzymes, cell division, photosynthesis, cellular respiration and molecular biology. This grant will ensure that my students have access to the science materials necessary for a truly college-level AP Biology class. These hands-on labs will advance their knowledge of biology and keep them fascinated with science. This will contribute to success on the AP Exam and future science courses, increase their appreciation of our natural world, and maybe inspire them to pursue a career in science! Materials from your donations will also include beakers and graduated cylinders that will ultimately benefit all of my students for much longer than one academic school year! Thank you.
