My students are an extremely bright group of students, who have a love of literature! This class has shown its ability to demonstrate greatness within their schoolwork and academics. These students have shown a tremendous rise in their confidence and ability to produce wonderful work, and deserve to be rewarded for that!
Despite any COVID-related challenges, these students came back to distance learning ready to give it their all! Their spirit and willingness to learn is astonishing and remarkable! Since going back to distance learning, many of the questions these students are asking are about access to books. We are from a small rural town, where internet is extremely limited, as are engaging activities for kids. In my classroom, I only have enough of each class set, to give half of my kids books. This project is to help get a full class set of each of our novels, so that students will still be able to do the reading aspect of our curriculum.
Most students don't have access to a library at home, and now with COVID-19 and distance learning, they don't have access to their school or classroom libraries either.
