STEM learning is a great way to get students curious about science, math, engineering, and technology. My goal is to turn my classroom into a place where critical thinking and problems solving are valued and fostered. By creating STEM learning space within my classroom, I hope to achieve that goal.
Within this STEM area, the students can come together to solve problems, share ideas and investigate areas of science, technology, engineering and math that normally wouldn't be involved in the curriculum. Students will be able to use the tools requested such as Building Sticks, Straw Constructors, Brain Flakes, and Legos to explore their surroundings and draw conclusions with STEM activities. First grade standards would be met with these activities as well!
