Just imagine when you are so mad because you don't understand the information given to you after the third or fourth time; a student makes fun of you; you have had a bad night/morning and the slightest thing just makes you so very angry that you cannot even imagine going on through your day. You are able to go over to the calming corner to look at a bottle filled with water soluble beads, glue, glitter and plastic game pieces that you can shake and just watch all the colors slowly shimmer and shine and the pieces move between the glitter that just seems to clear your mind and you feel much better. It's so calming for my students to visualize and you can see the calming effects on them instantly.
