As I teach my Special Needs Preschoolers through videoconferencing, these materials will allow all students access to equal materials and will allow me to lesson plan for each student according to their IEP goals knowing what supplies they have to work with!!!
Included in each box will be items that can be used to teach multiple skills in varying areas of development. The areas of development and need that I have chosen to focus on are: Pre-Academic (colors, shapes, numbers, letters), Fine Motor (using their little hands to complete tasks), Gross Motor (using their big muscles to move), Social Emotional (interpersonal skills) and Sensory (using one's senses). As I am teaching my students, their parents are also active participants and I teach them how to work with their child as well. These materials will enable the parents or other family members to continue to work on the skills they have learned in between our videoconferencing sessions.
