Using these very popular toys, students will discover physic and technology through the building of simple machines. Through Zoom lessons (LEGO offers wonderful STEM lesson plans,) I will demonstrate and explore concepts such as area, perimeter, gears, ratio, gravity, and drafting. Many of my students already own LEGOs and have shared that they can LEGOs from a variety of locations including grocery stores and the Dollar Tree. This access was important in my decision to offer a Science Summer experience. This is my attempt to offer a "Hands-On" experience during this very "Hands Off" time in our lives.

About my class
