My school is marked a STEAM school. This means it is especially designed to immerse students in curriculum that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in a balanced union. My classroom currently has 10 laptops that are dated and that malfunction daily. Because I am not able to rely on these devices, I have to modify lessons and activities that once were designed to engage students in an online learning environment. To satisfy this lack of technology exposure, I believe iPads are the perfect answer. iPads are user friendly and would help prepare my students for the technology advanced world that they live in. Using online platforms such as Epic and SeeSaw, my students will be able to build portfolios that showcase their growth over time. iPads are a great learning tool that will make my classroom more effective.
