We have long known that sitting in individual desks separated into rows is not an effective way to learn. Students need options for how and where they will work, and with those options come the important responsibility of choice.
Whether it's a stool that moves for our most active friends or a lap desk for those who work better on the floor, these tools will improve the working environment for my students and, subsequently, increase their desire to do great work. My students deserve the opportunity to be comfortable while collaborating and exploring.
