Providing for my students has always been very important to me. My students have been working from home with limited resources mostly coming from lower income communities. They rely on their hard copy packets given to them for instruction if internet is unavailable at home. I have been providing phone instruction and Zoom lessons to help guide them and give them the extra support needed at home because the regular education teachers are not able to provide as much individualized support. I know all of my student's strengths and weaknesses and have created distance learning plans for each one, but I need more supplies.
LCD Writing Tablets will give me the opportunity to provide familiar and efficent instruction to special needs students during Zoom sessions AND will be used in the Special Education classroom when we return to school. We have used these writing tablets in the classroom and my students love them. My resource time is limited in the classroom, so being efficient is very important. These writing tablets are easier to use than dry erase boards and create less frustration for my special needs students. During small group instruction they use them to provide quick answers and are used as a multi-sensory tool for some students that need require fidgets. The large LCD writing tablet will be used by the teacher to provide modeled instruction in the classroom and during distance learning. Currently, I have been using a small dry erase board through my Zoom lessons for students to watch me work out problems because my students struggle following along with computer programs and familiar instruction is helpful. This LCD Writer will provide me with a very efficient and familiar tool to give instruction to my students over Zoom sessions during online distance learning.
