My students are creative, intuitive, thoughtful, children who see the world and people in it through accepting and compassionate lenses. They are thinkers, creators, problem solvers, and each is so very unique and arrives with their owns sets of skills and interests and budding passions. This age is truly amazing and I feel so blessed to be able to be there for it year after year. My school is one of 5 Pre-k partners sites in the Portland Public School district. We serve a diverse group of sixteen, 4-5 year olds with varying life experiences and backgrounds. Each brings with them a lesson to be learned and a story to be told. They are my teachers as much as I am theirs and it is a privilege to be along for their introductory ride into the the world of education. It is always my hope and aim to create a positive relationship with education and learning in the classroom and promote an atmosphere of fun and adventure.
