Please help me put high quality, children's books into the hands of my students so they can continue to build on their early literacy skills in a developmentally appropriate way during distance learning. Providing books to students will allow learning to continue through the summer months and better prepare them for their upcoming kindergarten year.
At this time, the majority of my pre-k students do not have books at home and their access to online books and materials is limited, due to shared devices between family members. I would love to get copies of these classroom favorites into the hands of my students so they can discuss content and illustrations during our weekly Zoom meetings, read with their parents and siblings, and engage in the activities that I have created around these high quality books.
My hope is that by providing books to my students, they will continue to explore the text and illustrations, building on their language and literacy skills allowing them to become future readers!
