My project is an exciting blend of many tools a school counselor utilizes in a counseling program to meet diverse student needs. I am excited to implement more bibliotherapy in my program, and my book choices are filling in some gaps that my current library has in areas such as mindfulness, anxiety, coping strategies and bullying. I also am in need of toys and games since I use play therapy with many of my students to build rapport and open meaningful communication. One exciting addition to my practice would be the addition of LEGO kits to begin a brick based group counseling curriculum that I have been able to fully fund on my own.
