My classroom could use some extra books- big time. I have spent the first few weeks of school photo copying materials to share- this is not efficient nor environmentally friendly. This project will allow me to send these books home with students every week so they can share their reading with their parents. Kids will feel proud when they show what they know to their families. Book bags will not only keep parents involved with in class learning, it also will give students an opportunity to practice responsibility as they transport their books back and forth to school.
