My school is diverse! So many different students from different backgrounds. Help me bring them stories where the hero or heroine looks like them! This will help them see that they can do anything!
It is so important that students see people who look like them succeeding and doing great things. In fact, I can't think of any better way to encourage my students to shine their brightest! It is one thing for a teacher to tell a student they can do anything, it is another for that student to see themselves in the hero of their favorite book. This can spark a love of reading and of self!!!
I also included some sensory objects in my project to help kiddos stay focused during class. Being still for long periods can be hard, even for middle school kids. Thank you for considering my project!
