"Equal is everyone getting the same thing. Fair is everyone getting what they need in order to be successful." -Unknown
The materials for this project will be used to help increase and strengthen my students' fine motor and visual motor skills. The variety of scoops, tweezers, and locks will help develop the fingers and wrists to help them later on as they work on self-help skills such as using buttons, putting on clothes, feeding themselves, and more.
Incorporating these fine motor tools into student interest activities will allow them to develop their language and communication along with those fine motor skills. These activities will increase their engagement, encouraging them to explore more and develop their language and visual skills, not only within themselves, but with each other. In turn, this will help them academically, socially, and personally.
