The Kindles will serve to enhance the classroom experience by reinforcing the existing STEM kindergarten curriculum. For example, we will use them to rehearse phonics and practice handwriting. We will also use them to research Science projects and practice math skills. We will also install books on the Kindles so when it is Free Reading time, some will have the option of using a traditional book and some will have the option of using a Kindle. The Kindles will enhance the curriculum we are already using. We are requesting 6 Kindles so an entire academic group can use them at the same time.
