Students will utilize this carpet not only for a place to sit during instruction, but also a learning tool for matching pictures to the first letter sound, lowercase to their uppercase partner, as well as reinforce color mastery. I will use this carpet for morning meeting, mini lessons, writers workshop, math inquiry, games for social/emotional learning and even occasional brain breaks for stretching or breathing techniques.
This carpet will be a main focus in our classroom to help students transition between subjects as well as keep learning fun at the same time.
