I teach math to 6th graders, and want to help my students to become more involved in their learning. Math can be intimidating.
I want my students to realize that math isn't as hard or intimidating as they believe. One thing I notice, is that many 6th graders like to hide in their chairs, as an effort to become invisible. These stools will prevent the students from slouching in their chairs, but keep them sitting up during lessons. Another goal is to get students moving around the classroom, and to encourage them to explain their learning with their peers. These stools will allow for easier movement around the classroom. I want my students to be more actively engaged in the lesson. The stools will allow my students to become more active, engaged learners.
