Welcome to our bilingual 3rd grade classroom! My students are recent newcomers to the U.S., coming from diverse countries, languages, and cultures. Many are just beginning their journey of learning English, and for some, this is their first time in an American classroom.
Our class is a vibrant, inclusive space where we blend English Language Arts and Social Studies to help students build literacy skills while learning about the world around them. We explore cultures, history, and community—often connecting their own experiences to what we read and write about.
My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe, seen, and supported as they build confidence in both reading and writing. Every resource we receive helps make that goal possible.
