My students receive social emotional lessons each week focusing on a specific set of skills. These books will help support those skills and keep the students engaged. I love giving my students resources to refer to that are relatable and approachable. Picture books are texts that any of my students could refer to and explore. While our social emotional curriculum is wonderful it is vital for my students population that I extend that learning as much as I can. My goal, with the help of these texts, is for my students to grow in their social confidence and to meet the social emotional learning standards.
