Solar energy production growth in North Carolina is among the fastest in the country, according to an Environment North Carolina report, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
This project will introduce my students to the solar industry while providing power to our outdoor science classroom.
I have some small classroom sized solar kits for students that are probably great for elementary or middle grades students. But, would like to put in real working panels for my high school students to experience. Students will learn how solar power works through a hands on application of a working solar power system. The intent of my project is to introduce my students to a growing vocation in our state.
