It is important for my students of color and diverse backgrounds to have access to books that empower them. This project aims to do just that - provide novels and graphic novels that explore the themes of racism, discrimination, injustice, protest, and fighting for what you believe in. These books will be shared by students who are lower-level and reluctant readers. I know that these books will spark their interest, while teaching them that characters from minority backgrounds are important, interesting, and worth reading about. Your donation to this project will inspire and enlighten my students for years to come!
