I believe that students need to feel comfortable in their classroom. Every student is different and does not have the same learning style. Students interest vary as well. For this reason it is important that students have reading options. These books should reflect my students and things that they encounter in their lives. Students need to be able to make connections. It is also important that the classroom climate reflects the students needs. This includes flexible seating arrangements, pencil sharpener, shelves and supplies that can be used year round. I want to provide my students the opportunity to feel comfortable so that they will thrive in this learning environment. My project focuses on creating a classroom climate that meets each of my students needs.
