Hello everyone! I am a brand new teacher who just finished student teaching with my current district. I am so truly appreciative of the district to give me an opportunity to inspire students to continue reading for their enjoyment! My fifth grade class is eager to come into the classroom; or as I know, their future second home!
As there are future budget cuts in education for the 2020-2021 academic school year, it is important to ensure that every child has a book regardless of the current situation ahead. Whether instruction is at home or at school, I will provide students with a book they will be able to read at home and build their literacy skills from my classroom library!
Students at my school may not have a lot of reading materials at home, so I decided to look for different ways to help bridge the gap during this stressful time! I want to make my students' experience this year unforgettable and with the help and generosity of the public, we will be able to make this dream come true!
