I am hopeful that we get back into the classroom in September! However, if this is not possible, I would like for my students to be equipped with the materials they will need to learn and be successful. If we are able to be back in the classroom this will be even more of an added bonus because they will have all the school supplies they need. As a high poverty school it is difficult for families to purchase supplies at the beginning of the year, especially considering so many families have been out of work with COVID -19. Many of my students will not have the materials needed and I want to ensure that all of my students are equipped with pencils, crayons, markers, folders and other basic materials needed for learning. It would be such a great gift to assist my parents in having this financial piece taken care of.
